Okay, I normally use multiple products when doing my eye. Today I tried to keep it simple and use only one palette. Today I did only matted colors because it is simple and perfect for fall. Here are the few simple steps.
Priming...
I stared by priming my eyes with Urban Decay's Primer Potion. I use a small amount and work it all over the eye lid. Doing this will hep the shadow stay long lasting and in place for the whole day! I couldn't imagine not priming my eyes now! If Urban Decay is out of your price range or you are a beginner and you are skeptical of buying all of these items at once, I have another primer suggestion. I started a couple years ago using E.L.F Shadow Primer. You can find that at most Target's. It is very affordable and still gets the job done!
Shadow Time...
I used "Cream" to spread in wind shield wiper motions over the entire lid. I coat my lid twice to achieve all over coverage.
Now, I use a blending brush and lightly rub my brush in the color "Taupe". Now place your brush in the crease and go back and fourth blending it well. Blending is important because it allows the color to settle in and really mix with the color cream.
Take the color "Sable" and apply in to the outer edge or your eye. blend that well with the color "Taupe. I used the same brush, although you can use different type.
This is the final look. I apply my foundation after I finish because the lorac shadows seem really loose to me (excuse the photos with no face makeup). When I apply the shadow on my eye, it creates a lot of fall out. TO be honest I wish the fall out wasn't so drastic but in return the colors are very pigmented and you only need to use a small amount. With that said try your best to lightly press the brush into the shadows or else you will use pick up to much on the brush. |
I lined my eyes using the lorac front of the line pro. I use this every day because not only is it so easy to use, but it gives a finished matte look. Sometimes I like to put another liner over the top of it to get an even darker shade, but if you want a more thin natural line, this will be the perfect liner for you! I finished the look with some false lashes.
