Hello,
Happy Holidays,
As many of you may be noticing… the weather is slowly getting colder (at least in California), stores are more busy with shoppers and the local markets are hauling in the christmas trees. Many say that I start my decorating early but I think since it only comes once a year that starting early is more of a reason! The theme of my decorations are, some what Paris, and anything that is pink or sparkles. I take very simple pieces and combine them all together to make my idea of a masterpiece. Keep reading to see my tips!

The White And Pink Tree...
My 5 foot white christmas tree was purchased from Walmart two years ago. I bought it after christmas so it was a really good buy. I was browsing the store today and saw these going for around thirty to fifty dollars depending on the size you were looking for. All of the ornaments were inexpensive. I tried to stick to a similar color scheme which consists of pink, silver and white. I will say no matter what color you choose to theme out your white tree with, it will look amazing. Color really pops on white trees. Traditional green pine trees are a holiday classic. I think that chic white trees allow you to visually see each individual ornament eaiser. I have purchased a few ornaments at places such as pier one, world market and pottery barn. For the most part I like to keep it simple and just look at department stores. The light pink balls I made myself with glass balls, ribbon, glitter and floor cleaner is what holds the glitter inside. Comment bellow if you would like to see a tutorial on those. I try to put the smaller ornaments at the top of the tree and the larger ones towards the bottom. I like to take the largest ornaments and hang those first in those random empty spots in the tree, that way no one will see the fake tree base in the middle. Remember to have fun and do not be to critical while decorating because with those tips, the final piece will look great.
The Tree Skirt...
This is my total DIY tree skirt.
I just purchased new sheets, I then took my pink bed sheets and washed them and simply just wrapped it around the base of my tree.
I then took two damask pillow cases, folded them and then tucked them neatly under the pink sheets for a layered look. I used my older sheets to create this tree skirt though you can take what ever color fabric you'd like to get this look.I recommend using a solid fabric and a patterned fabric to get the look like I achieved in the photo.
I will admit that I found some really adorable tree skirts at Target, Walmart and TJ Max. I just could not bring myself to spend twenty dollars on something that will most likely be covered by presents by the time December 25th hits.

The Magic Of A Mirror...
The picture to the left is during the day right when I stuck the mirror near the tree. The mirror is from Walmart and I only spent five dollars on. Any mirror will do. The photo to the right is the tree lit up when it hits night time. The mirror not only allows me to display ornaments in the back of the tree and be able to see them but it also opens up the space. Mirrors allow the lights in the tree to have a starish look, which I love! Remember you can put the mirror where ever you would like, even if its on the wall across from the tree. Seeing the tree in which ever place you put the mirror will still give you the starish look! It really finishes off the tree!
My Favorite Holiday Candle...
My Favorite holiday candle is for sure "spiced wreath" I picked this one up from bath and body works at my mall. The scent has a pine smell like a wreath but a cinnamon sweet scent, as well as cranberries. Bath and body works is my favorite place to get candles because they not only burn so smooth and nice but the scent really works its way all around the house! I only payed ten dollars for this candle because I had a coupon for two for twenty. They not only last a really long time but the packaging is really simple and pretty. You can burn then candle until the end and reuse the packaging for other house hold items.
The Snow Flakes...
I took pink snow flake ornaments that I purchased. I then hung the snow flakes on sewing string and simply tacking them dangling down from the ceiling. I liked that the snow flakes match the Eiffel Tower painting behind them and it blended well together.
